In my first experice using corelDRAW, 

Aqua Sphere

On March 1st, we were assigned to follow Mr. Padilla's instruction and create a macintosh aqua sphere. We were given a website on his page and follow instruction. It was due on March 3rd. In making this Aqua Sphere, i learned how to use the Linear Gradient Tool. In my aqua sphere that is how at the top of my aqua sphere look white and the rest of the sphere blue. Then in the process of making a aqua sphere i learned how to Transform/Distort the fade circle picture in my sphere. Following instructions, i changed the Hue Saturation,Radius, and Opacity.  In making this sphere i learned how to use the Gaussian Blur.  There was many intructions in making this aqua sphere to look like the examples they show on the website but i've done my best to make it look exacly the same. 

Lesson 3

In this lesson i missed from class ago, i learned how to use new tools called the spoonge tool, the bandage tool, the magi tool and as well as the colour replacing tool. I learned how to put in a the cloud backround and fade it out. i selected the clouds and highlighted the backround of the actual picture and sub in the clouds as the backround. Next, i learn how to use used the bandage getting rid of the boat in the backround. next step into making this picture was making the up close boat lighter and the back round the way it looks like its far away. To make the boat lighter than the backround i used the spoonge tool. Then on the right hand side that looks like a shoe it replaced the colour by using the colour replacement. before it was blue and then i replaced it by green. i found this lesson some what difficult but in some ways i understand how to use the tools.

lesson 4

In this lesson, what i learned was to make a logo look like it was placed on the box. What we did was to use the polygonal lasso tool to trace the top corners of the box and then copy and delete the top paste. Then i pasted it back and then i scaled it until it looked like a the actualy image or logo.

lesson 1

In this very first lesson of making food into a face, i learned how to use rotate and duplicate the same image for the other side. For example, to make the eyes i needed to copy an paste it two or make a double copy of the first one. In this lesson i also learned how to attact a fruit to the melon head and make it seem like a real face. i learned to put the image behind a image. The ears of my melon head its infront of the melon head to look like it was just placed there. i moved the ears, or grape fruit behind the melon. To get the food in proper shape i used the lasso tool to trace around the food to and copy it and paste it onto the melon head.

Lesson 2

In this lesson, what i learned was to use the gradient tool. I did not know how to blend an image with another image. As well i learned how to make my name fancy.

M.A.D.D Presentation

This morning, Marshall Mcluhan had a presentation of Mothers Against Drunk Driving. I felt that this presentation must be shown to everyone in the school because now that students are into drinking and soon to be driving, it should be a good message to send to everyone before they get behind the wheel driving. A speaker from Mother Against Drunk Drivers, Albert,  came in and showed us a video of people who witness or was vitims of car accidents or crashes. I found this presentation very effective to me and i assume others as well. When i walked in the autorium this morning i though it would not be beyond the point where it showed frightful images of people that could happen to anyone. The presentation hit me in the heart because it felt so real, and it could happen to anyone at anytime and any place. When watching the video, i felt very uncomfortable because it showed the reality of crashes happening when a drink diver get behind the wheel or a drunk driver hits anyone. i felt upset that those people telling their story was probably hard to tell in front of the camera and showing the world how it's like when it happen to them. Those people that went through a whole lot from drunk driving had a hard time moving on.  For them they say time doesn't help heal the pain when you see something that remebers the time it happened.  In my mind, I know it doesn't effect me in anyway because I never had family in a car crash or been in a huge crash but i know i won't ever feel there pain but i feel bad because i cant share it with them. I wish i could be there and just comfort them . They tell themselves its not going to be okay and it's very difficult because they don't ever want to look back at the tragic event. When i was little, i was sitting in the front seat while my dad was driving and we were gonna turn when he hit a car driving straight and we crashed but it wasnt a big dent in the car. I can't imagine how hard it is to get over something that felt. Overal this presentation got me to think about making the right choice and always try and prevent my friends or anyone driving drunk.
